BlockBeats News, August 20th. According to Coinmarketcap data, the Altcoin Season Index dropped to 45, after briefly falling to 29 on August 11th. The index indicates that out of the top 100 cryptocurrency projects by market capitalization, around 45 projects have outperformed Bitcoin in the past 90 days.

Note: The CMC Altcoin Season Index is a real-time indicator used to assess whether the cryptocurrency market is currently in an altcoin-dominated season. This index is based on the performance of the top 100 altcoins relative to Bitcoin over the past 90 days.
